The app allows you to create a picture frame for e.g. grandma and grandpa, where the whole family can send pictures.
The picture frame version of the app is designed to be as low maintenance as possible. It can be installed on an Android or iOS device and then set up. If the people the picture frame is for can no longer operate a tablet, the screen can also automatically turn black. With a token, other people can be invited to send pictures to the picture frame. The pictures are encrypted end-to-end and cannot be viewed by us - the operator. (In the case of a court order, the encryption can be removed for individual picture frames.)
The upload version of the app contains an overview of the picture frames to which one was invited. Multiple picture frames and pictures can be selected. The pictures are then distributed to all selected picture frames.
All images are stored on the server only until they are retrieved from the picture frame. After that, they are deleted from the server and are only available on the picture frame. On the picture frame they are displayed for a certain period of time and then deleted here as well. By default, this is 30 days, this period can be extended as desired.
We want to make the app fair for the user, so we don't want to include advertising or sell user data. However, there are server costs and other operating costs that we need to cover. Since we offer the app for free, we rely on donations to run it.
