In the service, an application is provided that allows sending pictures to a picture frame.
The images can be sent in jpg format with a resolution up to 1920x1080 (FullHD).
One picture frame and one user can be created per application. Both are identified by random ids. Tokens can be generated on the picture frame to invite other users. These users can then send pictures to the picture frame. In the same way, an administrator can be designated who can manage the picture frame from the outside.
A user can make a selection from the picture frame he knows. In addition, he can create a list of images. All images in the list are distributed to the selected picture frames. The images are encrypted with the public key of the respective picture frame and transferred to the server. There they are cached for the picture frame.
The picture frame queries the server for new images at a configurable interval. These are downloaded from the server and decrypted with the picture frame's private key. Afterwards, the images are deleted from the server. The picture frame displays all existing pictures in a continuous loop. The picture frame deletes pictures under certain conditions, so that only the most recent pictures are displayed. The conditions can be configured, the default settings are:
As described in §2.2, all images are deleted after a certain time. The service is not made to archive images. There is no backup of the images. This applies to both the server and the picture frame. Distribution of images to a large group of people or unknown people is not allowed. The service is intended for the distribution of pictures in a family environment.
This is a free service, therefore there is no right to continuous availability of the service. Malfunctions will be corrected by our side as soon as possible. There is no right to an immediate removal of the disturbance. The service can be stopped at any time. Users and picture frames that are not active for 3 months will be deleted automatically.
